About
“I chase moments that reveal the soul of people and places.”

Jim Ludwick Photography
Dear Visitors:
Welcome to my website. In my journey as a photo hobbyist, I’ve currently limited my focus (no pun intended) to three themes plus my favorites. I want this to be a brief visit for you to see my website collection without you having you rush through the many photos I’ve made over the past few years since my retirement.
This is my first effort at being an artist and I’m inclined to be telling stories with my images. I enjoy visiting the streets of cities and towns I visit and recording the scenes and people I find interesting and that my images project a story viewers can imagine. I also like the outdoors and find landscape/nature photos to capture the breathtaking images I want to pass along to others with a possible different point of view.
I belong to three groups that have enabled me to improve as rapidly as possible and I owe them much. The Nevada Camera Club, Nature Photography Academy and the International Fellowship of Rotarian Photographers.
Four individuals have contributed an immense amount of time and patience in helping me grow as a photographer: Chip Chisena, Ken Underhill, Meredith Fontana, and Dennis Atencio Valverde, of Costa Rica.
If you would like a copy of one of these photos, I will provide them at cost in whatever format you choose, plus a donation to one of my favorite charities: USO, Rotary International’s Polio Plus, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, Wounded Warriors, or World Central Kitchen.
I want to thank my wife Carol for encouraging me to find a hobby. She didn’t know how obsessed I would become in creating images that tell a story.

Thank you for visiting,
